Ljøkjelshølen is the third of four pools on the classic Ljøkjel/Vormstad beat. This beat is really productive. During 2015 192 salmon were caught in the four pools. This beat is below Svorkmo on the lower reaches of the Orkla which means that you almost always have higher water than in the upper reaches.
Ljøkjelshølen is a good pool with a really deep hole and fishes well from both banks whatever the water level. The pool has a deep edge on the west bank – by the main road – and the best lies are found in the upper 100 metres and the lower 75 metres. Ljøkjelshølen is about 500 metres long and can be fished from both banks.
